RMIT-Deloitte Innovation Fastrack Program (IFP)
This innovative collaboration with one of the world's big four professional services firms sees 24 students from the College of Business' Bachelor of Business (Entrepreneurship) program embedded in Deloitte Digital under the guidance of a mentor and coach from Deloitte and Associate Professor David Gilbert from RMIT.
Students are required to rapid prototype commercial innovations that Deloitte are preparing for market and this year's innovations are GovDirect, an on-line financial reporting platform enabled by Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL); GreenID, an online 100 point identity check that can be used in a range of applications including banking, telecommunications and in the residential property market; and Social Media Monitoring that investigates the use of Social Media analytics in a range of activities including corporate HRM services.
The IFP has been highly successful with nine Entrepreneurship students been offered positions with Deloitte and over 73% of graduates from the program being offered positions with other major companies because of the skills and abilities developed in prototyping and commercialising innovations in a corporate setting.
