How to enrol in a Summer course – a step-by-step guide

Summer enrolment is via a paper-based form, the Enrolment Variation Form (PDF 145KB 2p).

  1. Ensure that you meet the pre-requisites for the course that you wish to take. Please note that, due to the intensive nature of the Summer Semester, you may enrol in no more than one course for that study period.
  2. Complete your 2013 Enrolment Online checklist by 17 December 2012. After this date a late re-enrolment fee applies.
  3. Obtain an Enrolment Variation Form, which is available online or from the Hub.
  4. Complete the Enrolment Variation Form to add the summer course you have chosen. Information is given below on the course details needed to complete the Enrolment Variation Form. If you are uncertain about how your summer course selection might fit your CSIT program, you are welcome to email the CSIT Academic Advisor at:csit.advisors@rmit.edu.au
  5. Have the Enrolment Variation Form signed.
    • All students need the signature of the CSIT Academic Advisor as a required ‘Authorising Officer’. Please drop off the form at the CSIT office for assessment. You will be contacted once the form is signed (during busy periods this may take up to 5 business days.) For students in a CSIT program this is the only staff signature needed on the form.
    • Students in a non-CSIT program will also need the signature of the Program Coordinator from your home school as the ‘Authorising Officer – Home School’.
    • Please note that if you are currently taking a prerequisite course for the summer course you wish to take, your application will not be signed until the results are released and that you have passed the prerequisite course.
  1. Submit the signed and completed Enrolment Variation Form to the Hub.

Please note that the last day to enrol in aSummer Semester course for 2013 is Thursday 3 January 2013. Due to the intensive nature of the Summer Semester, students may only enrol in one course for Summer Semester.
