Academic achievement

Academic achievement scholarships exist to recognise and reward high achieving students from a wide range of study levels. If you're a Year 12 student, you're encouraged to apply for many of these scholarships, funded specifically for you.

Diploma and certificate

• Boeing Prize For eight local and international advanced diploma and associate degree engineering, computer science students; worth up to $1500 each; applications now closed for 2013.
• George Alexander Foundation Scholarship For local diploma or degree students with academic ability, leadership potential, a passion for community involvement and the will to succeed; worth $7500 per year. applications now closed for 2013.

• Dyne Industries Scholarship For local final-year Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) students, worth $7500 plus a paid work placement; currently not taking applications.
• Gavin Teague Memorial Scholarship For degree students enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts and can demonstrate artistic merit and a passion for continuing with the Arts; worth $1250; applications now closed for 2012.

• Property Construction and Project Management Merit Equity Scholarship For local commencing under-represented or disadvantaged students who have outstanding Year 12 results; worth $5000 in the first year of your Bachelor of Applied Science degree; applications now closed for 2013.
• QANTAS Summer School For local (including New Zealand) engineering or computer science students interested in a summer work placement with QANTAS; worth $5000 for the 12 week summer work placement; applications now closed for 2012-2013.
• RG Kayler-Thomson Memorial Scholarship For local third year mechanical engineering students previously enrolled in Thermofluids 1 and 2; worth $6500 per year; applications now closed for 2013.

• School of Aerospace Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Women in Engineering Scholarship For local and international women commencing an engineering degree in 2013 in the School of Aerospace, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering; worth $5000 for one year; applications currently open.
