Objectives

The 4th Asia-Pacific Congress on Sports Technology aims to provide an international forum for scientists, engineers and educators from around the world who are involved in sports technology research, development and innovation. The congress also aims to actively engage with the sporting goods industry through an industry exposition and specialist industry workshops.

This is an international event in the field of sports technology organised biannually in the Asia-Pacific region in collaboration with the Japan Sports Engineering Association (JSEA) and the Australasian Sports Technology Alliance (ASTA) and with the support of the International Sports Engineering Association (ISEA).

In 2003, 2005 and 2007, the congresses were held in Australia, Japan and Singapore respectively. The congress will enable the participants to present and discuss the latest trends and findings and to learn about the state-of-the-art in their particular field(s) of interest. A broad range of topics and application areas has been devised to reflect the interdisciplinary nature of this congress.
